Cookbook - Jamie's Food Revolution
This is Jared. I'm writing the post tonight because it's 9:30 and Sophie went to bed before writing it, so even though I did practically nothing with dinner, I am writing the post. Actually my mom is writing it, I am dictating and taking the credit, so it's all okay.
I don't really know what we did so I'm just going to wing it. I think Sophie cut up some onions and stuff.
Then she mixed it with the meat and formed it into a loaf.
Sophie got to use the very cool meat tenderizer to smash crackers.
Then she baked it. She, like, put tomatoes, and something else in a pan and cooked it, then put on the meat when it was cooked, then baked it for another 5 minutes or so.
Oh yeah! I forgot! They added bacon to it and that was probably the best part of the whole dish because bacon is my life. Not really, but I love bacon.
The meatloaf was pretty good. I enjoyed it. With ketchup.
1 1/2 THUMBS UP, but Sophie would give it 2 THUMBS UP if she was awake.
Good night! Jared.
I've never heard of pot roast meat loaf. I make meat loaf using half ground beef and half ground chuck. I definitely will try this because I love pot roast.
ReplyDeleteJared, I love your take on Sophie's preparation of this meal.
ReplyDeleteHi kids, since I don't know what the "stuff" is I'll just wing it.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love post roast.
Good job!
Sharon Marie, it's balsamic vinegar (2 tsp), a can of tomatoes, salt and pepper, garlic slices, Worchteshire sauce (2 tsp) (no idea how you actually spell that), garbanzo beans--which we didn't have, and I think that was it. Oh! Onions. Boil down, then pour on sides of already mostly cooked meatloaf, top with bacon and bake a few more minutes.
ReplyDeleteReady, set, go!
