Day 40 - Chargrilled Asparagus

My mother went to a goat farm today because she's writing this awesome new book. It's a mystery and there's a woman who talks to goats (she's called a goat whisperer) and then there's this woman named Harlow Cassidy and she's a fashion designer, so, yeah. She went to a goat farm to learn about goats and she came home with two containers of goat cheese.

This is the goat cheese from Latte Da Dairy Farm

Those two containers were full of Mango Tango goat cheese and an herb goat cheese. The recipe we did was so we could use the goat cheese, which didn't work out so great.

It was supposed to be hard goat cheese,
but we used the soft goat cheese and it got all melty

Me, my brother, my mom, my dad, and my mom's friend tried the cheese. Of course my mom and her friend liked it okay, but me, Jared, and my dad didn't. I liked the mango one better because it wasn't as strong. It would be good on a bagel because it was light and creamy. Almost like a cream cheese.

Back to the recipe. We did chargrilled asparagus. There was one thing in it that we didn't know what it was so we used bell peppers instead. And since we didn't like the goat cheese, we used fresh mozzarella instead. I'm not a big fan of asparagus so I just ate some and I thought it was only 1/2 to 1 THUMB.

I didn't try the bell pepper.

Today was not such a good cooking day. But it's day 40 and we're bound to have some mess ups and things we don't like, but we keep going!

Oh, we also made BLTs with avocado to go with our veggies and they were great!

And that's another day with Sophie, the cooking girl!
